In this workshop, Big Feelings, Safe Solutions: Supporting Emotion Regulation and Conflict Resolution in Young Children, we discussed trauma-informed strategies to help childcare workers feel more confident and calm in tough moments. Childcare staff learned how to spot early signs of escalation, understand what’s happening beneath the behavior, and use practical tools to respond with empathy and effectiveness.

In Social Media & Mental Health: Finding Balance in a Digital World, I will join parents and caregivers for an honest conversation about the impact of social media on youth mental health. As we approach the upcoming bell to bell cellphone ban in NYS, we will explore ways to support teens through this shift—focusing on open communication, digital boundaries, and emotional regulation. With the right tools, families can navigate this change with connection and confidence.

In the Supporting Mental Health Awareness: Tools for Effective Communication & Crisis Response workshop, I partnered with the SRYMCA leadership team to strengthen their confidence in navigating mental health conversations. Through interactive scenarios and evidence-based strategies, we explored how to recognize signs of distress, communicate with empathy, and respond effectively during a crisis. This training supports a culture of compassion, safety, and proactive leadership.

Presented Riding the Waves of Anxiety to students and staff looking for cognitive based tools for stress and anxiety management. Students shared current stressors and we discussed solutions to prevent burnout and decline in performance.

In this interactive presentation, Empowerment Through Awareness: Recognizing the Signs, Shifting Mindsets and Strengthening Mental Well-being I guided Sunmark staff through recognizing early warning signs of mental health challenges—both in themselves and others. Together, we explored practical tools to respond with empathy, reduce stigma, and foster a culture of awareness and support in the workplace. Empowered teams build stronger, healthier communities.

Calm & Core | Mental Health Month Pop Up Event
During the Riding the Waves of Anxiety Mental Health Month pop-up at Pure Barre, we created space to talk openly about what anxiety really feels like—and how it shows up in our thoughts. Participants learned to spot common thought traps and practiced cognitive coping strategies to shift their mindset in the moment. It was an empowering reminder that awareness is the first step toward emotional resilience.
